At Polsinello Fuels, we aim to provide our clients with efficient service that satisfies their needs at an affordable cost. You may have heard us mention that with Polsinello, there will never be hidden fees. But what does that actually mean?

Some fuel companies add extra surcharges and fees to their clients’ bills. These fees and charges may go by names such as:

  • Delivery Charges
  • Fuel Surcharges
  • Hazmat Fees
  • Enrollment Fees
  • Statement Fees
  • Administration Fees
  • Regulatory Fees
  • Environmental Fees
  • Hazardous Material Fees

How a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater Works and How YOU can WIN One!

Matt Polsinello - Tuesday, October 06, 2015

Tankless water heaters are the innovative way to provide your home with as much hot water as you need, whenever you need it. Have to wash some dishes while someone else is in the shower? No problem! With a tankless water heater, you never need to worry about having enough hot water to go around.

It sounds too good to be true, but it is true! There is no tank storing hot water, so there’s no tank to empty. Therefore, you never actually run out of hot water because it’s constantly flowing, allowing the water to be heated as you need it! Here’s how a tankless water heater, such as one from Rinnai, works to provide unlimited hot water to your home:

  1. It starts with cold water. When you activate your water source, cold water begins to flow into the water heater through the inlet pipe, which is placed at the bottom of the unit. This signals the heating mechanism to activate.
  2. Hot coils heat the water. Water flows through the copper heat exchanger and it exits through the hot water outlet pipe and begins its journey through the pipes of the building that lead to the water source you had activated.
  3. Components of the system adjust to maintain proper heating demands. As you increase or decrease water pressure or temperature, the tankless water heater alters itself to fit your requests.

Tankless water heaters are becoming more and more prevalent in both new homes and older homes. Many new homes are built today with the installation of tankless water heaters, and owners of older homes are choosing to switch from their current water heating system to tankless. Many home buyers are looking for homes that come equipped with energy efficient appliances. Therefore, by having a tankless water heater installed, it can increase the overall value of your home!
  2. Saves Money & Energy – The great thing about tankless water heaters is that they only use hot water when it is needed! This makes them much more energy efficient, which, in turn, will end up saving you money on your utility bills.

Capped Prepay and Budget Programs

Matt Polsinello - Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Have you heard about Polsinello Fuels’ Capped Prepay and Budget programs?

As part of our price protection programs, our Capped Prepay and Capped Budget programs offer the ultimate peace of mind, by ensuring that your price of heating oil cannot go higher than your “Capped” Price!

What is a Capped Prepay or Budget Program?

The Capped Prepay program allows you to pay for your heating in advance, while limiting how high the price of heating oil may reach throughout the year. The advantage is that the price can decrease. That means if the price of heating oil during the winter months is lower than the capped price, you get the lower price!

The Capped Budget program limits how high the price of heating oil may go throughout the year while allowing you to pay in monthly payments. The main advantage of the Capped Budget program is that there is always a chance for the price to decrease, but not for it to increase. If the price of heating oil during the winter months decreases, then the customer gets the lower price! With a Capped Budget, you’ll pay for your heating oil with affordable monthly payments.

When it comes to heating your home, you should never pay more than you have to. Contact the professionals at Polsinello Fuels today at (518) 465-3535 to enroll in one of our money saving price protection programs today!

Benefits of Converting from Oil to Propane

Matt Polsinello - Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Oil and propane are two different ways to heat your home. Many new heating systems are now being used with propane instead of oil because propane is more efficient. If you are still using oil to heat your home, here is why you should consider switching to propane.

  1. Environmentally Friendly: Propane burns clean, resulting in the production of fewer emissions.
  2. More Affordable: Not only is the use of propane to heat your home less expensive in itself, you will also save money on equipment.
  3. Energy Efficient: Propane heats your home at about 90% efficiency, as opposed to oil, which heats at 60%. This means that for every dollar you spend on propane, you get 90 cents worth of heat, whereas with oil, you only get about 60 cents worth.
  4. Automatic Delivery: You don’t have to worry about your propane supply! Polsinello will monitor and keep track of your propane supply and deliver it to your home or business on a consistent and reliable basis.

If you are considering using propane to provide heat for your home or business, contact the professionals at Polsinello Fuels for more information!
